INSTAGRAM EYE CANDY!

Since last time when I posted about a few of the Instagrammers that we like was a success, and people seemed to respond pretty well... I felt like maybe I should start to make it a new thing... Thoughts?

I know I am always looking for new and interesting things to feast my eyes upon. From featuring things like our 'Artists Watch' feature to posting on our Pinterest to our very own Instagram account- it might be pretty evident that we are pretty visual people...

Anyways... here are a few more Instagram accounts that we have been feasting our eyes upon lately, and can't get enough of.

1: Britt Bass:  A very talented young artist- her Instagram is filled with her work and her inspiration.
2: Lulie Wallace:  She was featured on our 'Artist Watch' series, and since then- I can't stop looking at her Instagram account- it is filled with little sneak peaks of what is to come!
3: Teil Duncan:  Ms. Duncan was also featured on our 'Artist Watch' feature- her posts are a behind the scenes look at her process, and the inspiration for her works!
4: Studio McGee: Shea McGee is a VERY talented designer who gives us a peak in to her exciting world of design!
5: BonPouf: This crazy gal makes cotton candy look like an art form!
6: Poppy Talk: This husband and wife team have a stunning feed! They have recently been working on the hashtag #poppytalksummercolors . CHECK IT OUT! #worthit
What do you think?

FALL COLORS AROUND THE HOUSE

Everyone loves fall colors. They're bright, but warm, and help to usher in that horrible cold winter with it's bleak blues and whites. I know there is still a tiny bit of summer left, but I wanted to share some of the fall colored inspiration that has been sparking my interest these days. I'm into everything ranging from clothes, to home furniture, to more temporary seasonal pieces. I like things that remind me of fall often, but can also look great year round.

These adorable vases I found on Etsy would go perfectly on a dining room or breakfast table, and could be mixed and matched to fit a variety of seasons.

I love a piece like this that can really create a focal point in a room, but not overwhelm because it's a relatively simple and small table. It's also bright red, so I pretty much love it. Thanks overstock.com.

via
A bit more themed than some other items on this list, these jars are somewhat subtle but a fun Halloween decoration.

via
This duvet set is in a nice fall hue, but would still look great through summer as well. And the design would definitely be helpful for people like me who don't always get their bed made right away. It'll hide wrinkles well :)

via
Everyone loves a colored Kitchen Aid, and I'm no exception. This color is more unique than some, without being too bold or clashing with most kitchen designs.

Modcloth never fails to deliver in the comfy department, and this sweater/sweatshirt fits right in. Sometimes they have some pretty cheesy names for their pieces, but the airport cardigan is most aptly named. I can totally imagine being extremely comfortable in a plane, particularly in fall and winter in this item.

Perfect for a casual fall brunch with black leggings, this top (provided it's not too bright of an orange in person) is a perfect fall piece without conjuring too many images of pumpkins, leopards or Halloween.

What do you look for to get ready for fall? We'd love to hear about it!

WINDOW FRAME WALL ART INSPIRATION

Earlier this week a friend of mine consulted my advice on an art project she wants to add to her bedroom, incorporating some old salvaged windows that she found. I am always game for some multimedia artwork, so I was happy to lend my advice (with the might of Pinterest behind me).

I was tasked with finding options for affixing the frames to the wall (or not, since they're quite heavy) as well as solutions for painting and filling the frames. I'm still not sure which direction we're going to take it, but all of the following were inspiration for what's to come, which will surely be a future post!

These can all be found on our blog's Pinterest page as well, along with other great DIY inspiration.

Have any of you worked with window frames as wall art? Did you learn any lessons? Any advice? They're quite heavy, so do we dare hang them? Or artistically lean them on top of the dresser like vanity mirrors? We're debating the merits of refinishing the wood, or repainting a basic white, or something more bold and dramatic.

INSPIRED: DIPPING EVERYTHING I CAN FIND

The internet is a bittersweet thing, and I cannot seem to get over my mixed feeling about it. Here is why- I find SO MANY DIY ideas while I am out and about on the internet, that I think it almost gives me false hope about what all I can accomplish in a 24-hour day. Seriously, does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me?

That being said, it is mostly my fault... I am really inspired by nearly every DIY I find online, and some of the ones that have really struck me are anything with homemade and dipped in the title.

Here are some of the things I have been finding on the interwebs:

These are definitely going to be my next DIY project!

and the list goes on and on and on...

What all have you been inspired by lately?

What craft projects are you planning?
