FRIDAY CELEB CLIP FUN!

I'm always intrigued to see a celebrity that has been on the scene since they were very little, or just considerably younger. Lately clips of male celebs have been in my newsfeed, and they've been reminding me just how much these guys have changed. So of course, I'm sharing it with you! All videos are work appropriate, although Shia's story runs... kind of long for a story about getting drunk and arrested.

So here's some ok clips I've seen lately through my newsfeed. Oh, how the stars can change.

Well now he's become this guy, who gets arrested outside of a Broadway show. But what I like most about this, is that he's not embarrassed to tell this story. Oh no, it's pretty evident that he or his handlers asked Kimmel to ask him about it. He wanted to tell this story. And tell it, he did. I was, surprisingly, quite mesmerized. Shia, I don't know what to think of you these days, but those were 7 minutes well spent for me. Just trying to figure you out.

CHRIS PRATT: Speaking of celebrities that we first got to know awhile ago, remember when Chris Pratt was on Everwood? Because I do. And I didn't even really watch Everwood. But if I did watch it, he was part of the reason why. I mean, who could resist this?

Now he's winning hearts and minds in both Parks and Recreation, and Guardians of the Galaxy. But most importantly, he isn't afraid to multitask in an interview. And it looks like he is quite skilled with his french braiding technique.

CHANNING TATUM: I just watched Step Up a few weeks ago, and forgot what a charmer he was a as a young man. With those street smarts, irresistible!

As it turns out, he's terrified of porcelain dolls. So naturally Ellen was able to find the creepiest ones in existence, and turn this segment into the hottest version of Maury's unique fears episodes that you've ever seen.

Apparently everyone has been watching the video of this kid, and apparently it's pretty funny. Even if you've already seen it a million times, treat yourself today.

In keeping with the theme of chubby little boys who are just too cute to handle, this kid has a future as a weatherman for sure. I'd actually watch the local weather if he was my weather kid. I know this video is a couple years old, but it withstands the test of time. Elsewhere on the web, this commercial exists. I've watched it repeatedly and I can't get enough of it. I can never pick a favorite part. Maybe because they are all the best.  And although it's slightly unrelated, but another gem that I was introduced to recently on the internet is a delicious and delightful Tumblr page of Maury gifs and quotes.

Photo recreations - I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for any pictures of teens or young adults recreating pictures from when they were little. If anything more than a half-hearted attempt is made, it's guaranteed comedy gold. These brothers took it to a new level, in a hilarious and adorable way, and did it apparently as a gift to their mother. 

New Harry Potter story - Ok, don't get carried away, she didn't exactly write another HP book, but she did write a new article as Rita Skeeter, pretty much giving an update on the lives of Harry and his family. If you need a fix, or want to know how JK sees Potter's 30s (he's "34" at the end of this month)

Great DIYs - I know I mentioned this blog just last week when I shared my frosted lace plate DIY, and of the two of us who write this blog I'm not even the one planning a wedding, but over at Something Turquoise she has SO MANY great DIYs and you could use them for any occasion! Even the one that I referenced before with the champagne glasses would be perfect for a fancy summer brunch. 

Affordable Frames - I finally have an outlet to tell everyone about the magical wonders of Zenni Optical! I know a lot of people are doing the Warby Parker thing, and that's great. However, if you're on a bit more of a budget, you can get some fantastic frames, prescription lenses and all, for $10 or less! I'm even wearing some right now, since my regular glasses are a bit out of commission at the moment. Also a great site to find prescription sunglasses for the same price you get the non-prescription ones.

FRIDAY LINK LOVE

Because I know you will be sad if this entry has no pics, we'll start off with a photo I took last week when Minneapolis was super flooded from rain. I took this at a nearby creek, however in the photo none of what you see is the creek. Yup.. the waters were pretty high...

Alright, on this lovely pre-4th of July Friday I've got some links to entertain you while you count down the minutes until 5pm.

1. Sporcle - Ok, be careful with this one. It's not inappropriate or anything, but if there's ever a black hole to get lost in, it's this. If you thought Buzzfeed was bad, you'll be doing Harry Potter and geography quizzes for hours at at time before you even realize it. So pace yourself!

2. ModCloth - Such lovely clothing and accessories! I am at the website almost obsessively. Just cashed in some store credit the other day and got myself a couple things. The best thing about this site is people very loyally provide reviews of what they buy - the good, bad and ugly. They also frequently post pictures of themselves wearing the outfits. So if someone has a similar body type to yours, you can tell how it will look. So helpful!

3. WaitButWhy - The guy who writes this blog just gets it. Whether he's explaining the complexities of email etiquette, categorizing the many horrible types of bugs on this planet, or elaborating on the history of baby names (a particularly popular post), his long and well researched blog entries are well worth your time. 

I know it's not much, but it should be enough to get you through to the weekend.
