LOVING LATELY: TWEETERS TO FOLLOW

A lot of people see Twitter as an outlet for their own thoughts, or a way of advertising something that they are selling/working on/promoting (this very entry will be tweeted out later this morning via OUR twitter @YouMeOuiBlog). However, what I've come to enjoy about Twitter lately is the entertainment it can provide. You can follow comedians, TV shows, designers, accounts that simply post quotes or ideas, the sky is the limit! And having these rockstar tweeters in my feed never fails to brighten my day. Check them out, give them a follow, let them know how great they are!

Kind hearted and motivational: @Upworthy

You may have seen Upworthy before through Facebook or other social media. They're incredibly popular and post a lot of videos and stories about people trying to change the world, or taking action on social justice issues. My favorite place to find their info is on Twitter, because they make excellent taglines, so that's usually all I need to read to know if I want to click through. And the links are always in the tweet. Super convenient, almost always entertaining.

Observational humor and humanity: @MirandaKeeling

I heard about her because she was retweeted and recommended by October Jones (who was featured  here on our blog a few weeks ago for his fun Post It drawings). She has delightful observations about nearly everything she encounters throughout her day, mostly on public transit and walking down the street. Many people have started to take note of her Twitter account and several artists have created comic representations of her tweets. She has also started a delightful trend called #handwrittentweets.

Definitely a little strange: @CrapTaxidermy

Don't be alarmed upon first checking out this feed. These taxidermied animals were found by the tweeter, not made by the tweeter. This feed simply gives hilarious captions to poorly done taxidermy. Some of them are quite NSFW, but most are just downright funny.

For comedy fans: @MindyKaling

Not to be confused with Miranda above, Mindy was a writer on The Office and now writes for and stars in The Mindy Project. She is an avid tweeter, and throughout this last season she would frequently live tweet episodes with fun behind the scenes jokes and info. She also tweets funny comments and has great "Twitter Rapport" (if that's a thing) with BJ Novak (@BJNovak) and Mike Birbiglia (@birbigs).

Because Harry Potter is always entertaining: @Lord_Voldemort7

Curious about that certain Dark Wizard's take on the world? Check out his Twitter! He cracks jokes, and provides magical commentary about Muggle news.

Who do you follow on Twitter? Let us know!
