We're looking at part two of the epic paper crafts day that I was a part of a few weeks ago. One of my friends chose to create a wreath based upon this pin she found:
What I quickly learned while looking up that pin to post it here, is that if you search for book paper wreathes there are a whole host of options out there. One minor difference to the one she made, is that it involved comic book pages co-mingled with pages from a book. She used typical comic book pages, and pages from a larger bible. Each page was wrapped into a cone shape and taped at the base with Scotch tape.
After the cones were made, the first layer was arranged and then glued to a large piece of card stock.

Trying out some options |

Base layer: Comics only |
After the first layer was established, the second layer was added using spray adhesive. This layer was book pages only.

Book pages |
Several layers of alternating comic books and book pages were added, all using spray adhesive and carefully but firmly attaching each layer to the previous layer.

Layer 3: More Comics! |

Up close |
The final layers had to be more tightly rolled so that they would fit in the center and be a gradual transition. The middle was a "bouquet" of comic book pages. Pressed against the existing layers and into the gap they left in the center. Everything requiring spray glue was completed outside for fumes related purposes.

What do you think? Do you like the incorporation of comic books along with the book pages?
